Just added to my Etsy shop is my Something Blue Lucky Sixpence Wedding Charm.

The saying goes:

Something Old, Something New

Something Borrowed, Something Blue

and a silver sixpence in your shoe.

This charm is perfect for your Something Old as the silver sixpence dates from the 50’s and 60’s, the beads I use are brand new crystals and pearls so that is the Something New ticked off and of course as they are a lovely soft shade of blue they are perfect for your Something Blue.

The tradition was to place your sixpence in your shoe but as that is a little bit uncomfortable I have designed the charm to be tied around your bouquet.

That only leaves your Something Borrowed so you could borrow a piece of old lace or ribbon to wrap around your bouquet handle to set off your charm perfectly!

The birth stone of January is the beautiful dark red stone Garnet.

It more commonly can be seen in dark red but can also be pink, green, orange, yellow, brown and black.

The stone is known for its properties in revitalising, purifying and balancing energy.

It is worn to create cheerfulness and courage, it is especially popular with travellers.

It is given a 2nd wedding anniversary present.

The name comes from the Latin for pomegranate seeds ‘Garanatus’
